First Impressions matter. There may be some people that advise you to stay in your comfort zone and try to fit in with the others. But successful real estate investors will tell you that part of their success comes from making an unforgettable first impression and standing out in the crowd.

Have you ever met someone who really stood out to you? They made a first, and lasting, impression on you? What was it about them that stood out in the crowd? Was it their soaring confidence? Their style of dress? Their ability to make you feel good? Begin to think about what traits stood out to you, and then begin to think about what traits you can embody that will help you stand out in the crowd.

How To Stand Out From The Crowd as a Real Estate Investor

I’m not saying to make a great first impression you have to become someone you’re not. Be uniquely you, and also be willing to allow your individuality to shine through. Significant confidence will stand out in the crowd. Not boasting, but getting out there and owning your entrepreneurship and individuality. Your ability to help people solve their housing problems. Your ability to connect with them earnestly and sincerely.

Passion is another trait that will help you to stand out. Embody passion and zeal as you meet and talk with potential clients. Don’t be afraid to show your enthusiasm and excitement. Be a great listener, being attentive to their wants and needs. Allow creativity to come forth, as oftentimes there are various ways you can get something accomplished.

Go Above And Beyond

Go the extra mile with your clients. There are some real estate investors that will give up after that first phone call. Think of ways that you can go above and beyond that phone call. Whether that’s sending a letter, postcard, or having a fruit basket delivered to their front door with a sincere note. After all, many of our potential clients are going through rough life circumstances. To receive a heartfelt gesture of kindness such as this will set you apart from the rest of the crowd.

Let Intuition Guide You To Be The Best Version of You

Chances are you’ll learn over time how you can better make that first impression. You’ll learn what works and what doesn’t work. You’ll learn what you’re comfortable with and what you’re not comfortable with. It’s all right to let your intuition rule, as each situation may require different characteristics or traits from you. But as a general rule, think about how you can uniquely stand out above your competition in a way that suits you.

First impressions do matter, and you only get one chance to make that desirable first and lasting impression. As an investor, continue to mold yourself into a unique and confident person, learning as you go along. Leaving someone with a great impression of you is something that won’t go unnoticed, so go ahead and give yourself permission to rise up different, standing well above the crowd.
